Sports Orthotics

Improve performance and reduce injury with podiatrist-prescribed orthotics

Struggling with performance or recurring injuries in sport?

Sports orthotics can help improve your movement, stability and overall performance.

When you train or compete, your feet absorb constant impact and load, which can lead to fatigue, reduced performance and ongoing strain through your feet and lower limbs. Sports orthotics help improve how your feet function under pressure, supporting better movement, control and injury prevention — not just short-term relief.

If you’re also dealing with ongoing foot or heel pain, explore our foot pain orthotics to understand how sports orthotics can support both performance and long-term foot health.

How sports orthotics support movement, performance and control

COMMON ISSUES SPORTS ORTHOTICS CAN HELP WITH

Sport places repetitive stress on the body, and small inefficiencies in movement can lead to ongoing issues over time.
Running overuse injury lower leg pain athlete

Running & overuse injuries

Repetitive impact from running and training can lead to strain through the feet, ankles and lower limbs. Orthotics help improve load distribution and movement efficiency, reducing stress during high-volume activity. Improve comfort and reduce impact with our running orthotics.

Orthotics for heel pain and plantar fasciitis supporting foot comfort

Heel pain & plantar fasciitis

High-impact sport can increase strain on the plantar fascia and heel. Orthotics help support the arch and reduce tension through the foot, improving comfort and reducing ongoing stress. Explore our orthotics for heel pain to find the right support for your needs.

Knee shin pain lower limb strain athlete

Knee, shin and lower limb strain

Poor foot mechanics can contribute to stress through the knees, shins and lower legs during sport. Orthotics help improve alignment and reduce excessive load through these areas. Support better alignment and movement with our knee and leg pain orthotics for everyday activity.

Sports fatigue reduced performance athlete training

Fatigue & reduced performance

Ongoing strain and inefficient movement can lead to fatigue during training and competition. Orthotics can help maintain performance for longer. Manage fatigue, improve endurance and performance across many sports with our prescribed orthotics for sport.

🎥 How to Record Your Walking Video

To get the perfect prescription, our podiatrists need to see how you walk. Don’t worry — it’s quick and easy! Watch the short video below for a simple guide on how to film your walking video at home.

1. Find a flat, clear space
A hallway, driveway or quiet footpath works well. Make sure the area is clear of obstacles.

2. Set up your phone/camera
Ask a friend or family member to film or place your phone on a stable surface about 3–4 metres away.

3. Walk naturally
Walk away from the camera for 5–6 steps, then turn and walk back towards it.
Repeat this 2–3 times at your normal walking pace.

4. Check your video
Make sure your feet and legs are clearly visible in the frame and the video isn’t shaky or blurry.

5. Upload with your assessment
Attach the video when completing your online assessment and you’re done!
