Active Ageing Orthotics

Support and balance with podiatrist-prescribed elderly orthotics

Staying active and independent as you age?

Elderly orthotics support active ageing by improving comfort, stability and confidence in everyday movement.

Staying active as you age plays an important role in maintaining independence, confidence and overall wellbeing. Changes in foot structure, reduced cushioning and conditions such as arthritis can make walking and standing less comfortable over time.

If you’re experiencing foot pain our podiatrist-prescribed orthotics help support alignment, improve balance and reduce strain on joints, allowing for more comfortable and stable movement throughout the day.

You can order your orthotics online from home with a simple assessment, with personalised orthotics delivered Australia-wide.

COMMON ISSUES ELDERLY ORTHOTICS CAN HELP SUPPORT

Changes in foot structure, balance and movement can lead to discomfort, instability and reduced confidence in everyday activity.
Foot pain and fatigue affecting walking and standing

FOOT PAIN & FATIGUE

Ongoing foot discomfort and fatigue can make walking and standing more difficult. Orthotics help improve support and reduce pressure during daily activity. Explore our super soft orthotics for added cushioning and all-day comfort during walking and standing.

Flat feet and arch changes affecting foot alignment

FLAT FEET & ARCH CHANGES

Changes in arch height and foot structure can affect alignment and stability over time. Orthotics help support the foot and improve how pressure is distributed. Improve support and alignment in ageing feet with our arch pain orthotics designed for everyday comfort.

Knee hip and lower back strain from poor alignment

KNEE, HIP & LOWER BACK STRAIN

Poor alignment can increase strain through the knees, hips and lower back. Orthotics help improve movement and reduce excessive load on joints, which can be more noticeable with age. Reduce strain through the lower body with our lower back orthotics built to support elderly movement and alignment.

Balance and stability issues during movement

BALANCE & STABILITY ISSUES

As we all age, reduced stability can impact confidence during movement. Orthotics help support more stable, controlled walking and everyday activity. Stay steady and confident with our stay active orthotics designed to support balance and active ageing.

🎥 How to Record Your Walking Video

To get the perfect prescription, our podiatrists need to see how you walk. Don’t worry — it’s quick and easy! Watch the short video below for a simple guide on how to film your walking video at home.

1. Find a flat, clear space
A hallway, driveway or quiet footpath works well. Make sure the area is clear of obstacles.

2. Set up your phone/camera
Ask a friend or family member to film or place your phone on a stable surface about 3–4 metres away.

3. Walk naturally
Walk away from the camera for 5–6 steps, then turn and walk back towards it.
Repeat this 2–3 times at your normal walking pace.

4. Check your video
Make sure your feet and legs are clearly visible in the frame and the video isn’t shaky or blurry.

5. Upload with your assessment
Attach the video when completing your online assessment and you’re done!
