GOLF ORTHOTICS
Are golf orthotics worth it?
Golf can place high stress on the feet and lower limbs. Orthotics help support movement, reduce strain and improve performance over time.
Can orthotics help prevent golfing and other sports injuries?
By improving alignment and reducing load on joints, orthotics can help reduce the risk of common overuse injuries.
What is the difference between prescription orthotics and store-bought insoles?
Prescription orthotics are designed by podiatrists based on how your feet move and function. Unlike generic insoles, they are tailored to your specific needs to provide targeted support, improve movement and reduce strain.
How long do golf orthotics last?
With proper use, orthotics are designed for long-term support and durability across training and competition. On average, prescription orthotics last between 1-3 years, depending on your activity level, footwear and the materials used. Sports or heavy-duty work orthotics may need replacing sooner, while occasional use orthotics can last longer.
We recommend having them checked every 12–18 months to ensure they’re still supporting you correctly, as your feet and gait can change over time.
Can I order orthotics for golf without visiting a clinic?
Yes. Our online assessment allows our podiatrists to assess your movement and prescribe orthotics without needing an in-person appointment. This makes it easy to access podiatrist-prescribed orthotics from home.
How do I order my orthotics online?
Complete a short online assessment, answer a few quick questions and upload a video of you walking. Our podiatrists assess your movement, foot structure and lifestyle before prescribing orthotics tailored to you. Your orthotics are then made and delivered directly to your door.

🎥 How to Record Your Walking Video
To get the perfect prescription, our podiatrists need to see how you walk. Don’t worry — it’s quick and easy! Watch the short video below for a simple guide on how to film your walking video at home.
1. Find a flat, clear space
A hallway, driveway or quiet footpath works well. Make sure the area is clear of obstacles.
2. Set up your phone/camera
Ask a friend or family member to film or place your phone on a stable surface about 3–4 metres away.
3. Walk naturally
Walk away from the camera for 5–6 steps, then turn and walk back towards it.
Repeat this 2–3 times at your normal walking pace.
4. Check your video
Make sure your feet and legs are clearly visible in the frame and the video isn’t shaky or blurry.
5. Upload with your assessment
Attach the video when completing your online assessment and you’re done!
